Ian Doddridge Electrical & Audio Limited is an approved contractor with the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contactors) and is able to undertake all electrical work from small additions and alterations to full system design and installation.
We work closely with a number of suppliers and manufacturers to make sure we can offer the very best products and services at the most competitive prices. All domestic electrical work is covered by a six-year insurance backed warranty.
Domestic
Whether its an addition or alteration, a rewire or a new build, at idea we can design and install your domestic electrical installation to comply with BS7671:2008 (IEE Wirining Regulations) and also complying with current building regulations. Full testing is carried out on all installations and certificates are provided. Ian Doddridge Electrical & Audio Limited are approved contractors with the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting), all domestic electrical work carried out carries a 6 year limited warranty.
Industrial & Commercial
As approved contractors with the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting), we can provide all routine inspecting, testing and certification for all electrical systems, fire alarms and emergency lighting systems. Furthermore we are able to design, install and commission any new systems whether its an alteration, addition or a new installation. All work carried out is tested and will meet the requirements of BS7671:2008 (IEE Wiring Regulations) and certificates will be provided.
Fire alarms
At Idea we can design, install, commission and maintain all types of fire alarm systems to BS5389. Whether it's a simple linked smoke alarm system for your home to meet building control requirements, or a large addressable system for industrial or commercial applications, we are confident we can find the right system for you. We can also connect your fire alarm system to a central monitoring station so that you may be contacted in the event of an alarm activation.
Emergency lighting
Emergency lighting is a requirement in almost all commercial and industrial building. At idea we can design, install, commission and maintain emergency lighting systems to meet your requirements. Certificates of conformity are provided on completion with all of our emergency lighting systems.

We have structured cabling solutions for the home, office and many more commercial and industrial applications.
